<br />• Minutes, Joint Public Hearing and Regular Meeting <br />September 16, 1981, Page 11 <br />Meza: Our recommendation to change or amend this Ordinance in <br />order that we may be moving along. <br />Faris: Prior to vote, I would like to make one more comment, <br />no, I guess it has already been said. <br />Meza: I have a motion and a second. All in favor? <br />Vote: <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Longley, Faris, Westergren <br />Nays: Councilpersons Kibodeaux, Simons, Gay <br />Meza: The motion carries. <br />16. Administrative Reports: <br />A tabulation of fuel bids received by the City on September <br />8, 1981, were presented to Council (bids tabulation a part <br />of these minutes). The bids were from Exxon, Chickering <br />Oil and Gulf Oil for the following items. <br />• 1. <br />2. <br />3. <br />4. <br />5. <br />6. <br />7. <br />8. <br />9. <br />10. <br />11. <br />Regular gasoline <br />Unleaded gasoline <br />Diesel #2 <br />Motor oil <br />Chassis grease <br />Gear lube <br />Hydraulic oil <br />Automatic transmission fluid - Dextron TI <br />Automatic transmission fluid - Type F <br />Brake fluid <br />Anti-freeze <br />The Director of Public Works recommended that tiems 1, 2, and <br />3 be awarded to low bidder, Exxon, and the remaining items <br />awarded to low bidder, Chickering Oil. <br />Hudgens explained this is not a cash outlay for a one-time <br />purchase. It is an anticipated purchase over a one (1) year <br />period. <br />A motion was made by Councilperson Faris to accept the recom- <br />mendation presented. Seconded by Councilperson Simons. The <br />motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Longley, Faris, Kibodeaux, Simons, <br />Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Meza <br />Nays: None <br />
