• • <br />• Minutes, Joint Public Hearing and Regular Meeting <br />October 21, 1981, Page 2 <br />Chairperson Muston advised Mayor Meza there was. not at this <br />time. <br />Mayor Meza stated we would proceed with Regular Meeting <br />business until such time as a quorum is present. <br />4. The regular meeting of La Porte City Council was called to <br />order. <br />5. City Council considered the minutes of the Regular Meeting <br />held October 7, 1981. <br />A motion was made by Councilperson Kibodeaux to accept the <br />minutes as presented. Seconded by Councilperson Simons. <br />Councilperson Faris called for a correction to the minutes, <br />Item 12, page 6, when questioned by Lehman, Faris did not <br />answer but shook his head, yes. City Secretary Waters said <br />she would check her tape and notes and make any corrections. <br />• Councilperson Kibodeaux amended his motion to accept the <br />minutes as corrected. <br />The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Longley, Faris, Kibodeaux, Simons, <br />Gay Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Meza <br />Nays : None <br />6. At this time Mayor Meza dismissed the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission due to the lack of a quorum. There was no action <br />taken on the question of rezoning blocks 12 and 21. Mayor <br />Meza declared a recess until October 28, 1981, at 7:00 P.M. <br />7. City Attorney Askins read: A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE NOMI- <br />NATION OF FRED HARTMAN PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION <br />6.031 OF THE PROPERTY TAX CODE FOR THE OFFICE OF DIRECTOR, <br />HARRIS COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT. <br />Motion was made <br />Resolution No. <br />rove <br />• <br />The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Longley, Faris, Kibodeaux, <br />Simons, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Meza <br />Nays: None <br />
