<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Ordinance No. <br /> <br />1009 <br /> <br />, Page 4. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />OFFICIAL BALLOT <br /> <br />AMENDMENT NO. 2 <br /> <br />(VOTE "FOR" OR "AGAINST") <br /> <br />"Amend Article II, Section 14, of the Home Rule Charter <br />to provide that each Commissioner shall receive as com- <br />pensation for his services the sum of twenty-four <br />hundred dollars ($2,400.00) per year, payable in equal <br />monthly installments, and, in addition, all necessary <br />expenses incurred by members of the City Commission in <br />the performance of their official duties shall be paid <br />by the City. The Commissioners shall not be required <br />to devote their full time to the duties of their office. <br />This amendment shall become effective May 1, 1975." <br /> <br />Section 8. Notice of said election shall be given by <br /> <br />posting a copy of the notice containing a substantial copy of <br /> <br />this Ordinance, at the City Hall in the City of La Porte, Texas, <br /> <br />~ and by publication thereof, in the La Porte-Bayshore Sun, a <br /> <br />newspaper of general circulation published in said city, on the <br /> <br />same day in each Qf two successive weeks, the date of the first <br /> <br />publication to be not less than fourteen (14) days prior to the <br /> <br />date set for said election; and, not less than thirty (30) days <br />prior to such election, the City Clerk shall mail a copy of the <br /> <br />proposed amendments to each qualified voter in the City of <br /> <br />La Porte, Texas, as appears on the latest rolls of the Tax <br /> <br />Collector. <br /> <br />Section 9.
