WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pasadena has found and determined that such adjustments of boundaries and such exchange are desirable and should be made; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE C'ITY OF PASADENA: SECTION 1. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby authorized to execute for and on behalf of the City of Pasadena and the City Secretary to attest, an exchange agreement between the City of Pasadena, Texas and the City of La Porte, Texas, which agreement amends the extraterritorial agreement now existing between the City of Pasadena and the City of La Porte, and further provides for the adjustments of the boundaries of the City of La Porte and the City of Pasadena so that effective 12:00 o'clock midnight on the 24th day of September, 1980, the boundaries of the City of La Porte shall be so. adjusted that 'the territory described in Exhi~~t n'BIf.,..:"D.C..,' and ft.D~. ehalr become .and.::b~_ ~,_p'a'rt_.of ;the City; of, pasa~,~.n:~,. Effective at 12:00 o'clock midnight on the 1st day of April, 1984, ~h~ boundariea of the City of Pasadena shall be so adjusted that the territory described in Exhibit BER shall become and be a part of ; t,he Ci ty of La Porte.:. A copy of the agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes as if set forth at this point in full. SECTION 2. As evidence of the agreements hereby undertaken and the provisions hereby made, the City Secretary of the City of Pasadena is hereby instructed to deliver to the City Secretary of the City of La Porte a certified copy of this ordinance in exchange for a duly certified copy of an ordinance of like tenor and effect passed by the City Council of the City of La Porte, and to file such certified copy of La Porte's ordinance among the official records of the City of Pasadena. SECTION 3. Ordinance No. 80-173, pas~ed by the City Council of City of Pasadena on Augusi 19, 1980 is hereby repealed and -_~~inded in its entirety.
