Weather WARNING is issued by the U.S. Weather Service. <br /> <br />(1) TORNADO WARNING - A tornado or severe thunderstorm has been <br />sighted or. indicated in the .area by weather radar. <br /> <br />ACTION: Inform populace of tornado WARNING and actions to <br />take; alert all city department and agency heads. <br /> <br />(2) HURRICANE WARNING - Either or both of the following condi- <br />tions are expected in a specific coastal area in 24 hours . <br />or less: <br /> <br />(a) Sustained winds 74 ,MPH or higher <br />(b) Dangerously high water and/or exceptionally <br />high waves even though winds may not be <br />hurricane force. <br />
