Rear Yards Only: An unenclosed, attached patio cover, awning, <br />or canopy, provided that no portion of said patio covers, <br />awnings, or canopies shall encroach into any utility <br />easements, or any vertical projection thereof, and provided <br />further that no portion of said patio covers, awnings, or <br />canopies shall be located at a distance less than five feet <br />(51) from the side property line or three feet (3') from the <br />rear property line, or any vertical projection thereof. <br /> <br />4. Front and Side Yard Carports: Front and side yard carports <br />shall be permitted for single family detached homes subject <br />to the following requirements: <br /> <br />a. Carports in a required front or side yard shall not be <br />located closer than five feet (51) from any front or side <br />property line. <br />b. Carports located on corner lots shall not be located <br />closer than twenty-five feet (251) from an intersection. <br />This distance shall be measured from the intersection of <br />property lines common with street right-of-way lines. <br />c. The maximum width of a carport located in a required <br />front or side yard shall be twenty-five feet (251). <br /> <br />10 - 402 Heiqht Requirements <br /> <br />The building height limits established in this Ordinance for <br />distances shall not apply to the following except if they are <br />located within an airport height restriction area: <br /> <br />1. Belfries; <br />2. chimneys or flues; <br />3. Church spires, not exceeding twenty feet (20') above roof; <br />4. Cooling towers; <br />5. Cupolas and domes which do not contain usable space; <br />6. Elevator penthouses; <br />7. Flag poles; <br />8. Monuments; <br />9. Parapet walls extending not more than three feet (31) above <br />the limiting height of the building; <br />10. Water towers; <br />11. Poles, towers, and other structures for essential services <br />12. Necessary mechanical and electrical appurtenances; <br />13. Television and radio antennas not exceeding twenty feet <br />(201) above roof; <br />14. Wind electrical generating equipment. <br /> <br />EXH\BlT D <br />
