<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 94- 1976 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A RENTAL FEE POLICY AND SCHEDULE FOR THE <br />LA PORTE LIVESTOCK/RODEO ARENA; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY OF A FINE <br />NOT TO EXCEED THE SUM OF TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200.00) FOR EACH <br />OFFENSE; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />section 1. The City Council of the City of La Porte, by this <br />Ordinance, establishes a rental fee policy and schedule for the La <br />Porte Livestock/Rodeo Arena (Arena). The Arena must be rented for <br /> <br />any event when entry fees or admission fees are charged. <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />Council hereby establishes its firm policy, in fairness to all <br /> <br />users, that no waiver of rental fees, discounts from rental fees, <br /> <br />or deviations from this published schedule of rental fees, shall <br />be allowed by City Council nor by City Administrative staff. <br /> <br />Section 2. The Arena shall be available for rental, Monday <br /> <br />through sunday, as follows: <br /> <br />Monday - Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m................. .$150 <br />Friday - Saturday, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 midnight............ .$200 <br /> <br />Sunday, 8: 00 a. m. - 11: 00 p. m. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $ 200 <br /> <br />The Arena may not be rented on the following holidays: <br /> <br />Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Day, Good <br /> <br />Friday, and Easter Sunday. <br /> <br />Lessees requiring additional time for move-in, move-out, or <br /> <br />rehearsal, prior to or immediately following an event, extending <br /> <br />to an additional day or days, will be charged one-half (1/2) of the <br />applicable full time rate, providing the arena is not rented. The <br />city will not be responsible for any items left on the premises. <br />Section 3. It shall be the responsibility of the Director of <br /> <br />Parks and Recreation, or his designee, to determine the number of <br /> <br />security officers required for each event and to arrange for such <br />
