<br />. <br /> <br />~~ <br /> <br />~\ <br />.,.: <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 811 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE TO PROTEGT THE PUBLIC HEALTH AND PROMOTE THE <br />PUBL~C WELFARE OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, BY REGULATING <br />MOBILE HOME PARKING AND MOBILE HOME PARKS IN THE CITY OF <br />LA PORTE, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR MOBILE HOME PARK PERMITS, ANNUAL <br />LICENSE AND ANNUAL' LICENSE FEE, AND MONTHLY RESIDENT SERVICES <br />FEES; PROVID~NG TECHNICAL, PHYSICAL, AND OPERATING REQUIREMENTS <br />FOR MOBILE HOME PARKS; PROVIDING THAT ANY PERSON VIOLATING THE <br />TERMS OF THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE DEEMED GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR <br />AND UPON CONVICTION SHALL BE FINED IN ANY SUM NOT LESS THAN <br />TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($25.00) NOR MORE THAN TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS <br />($200.00) AND EACH DAY OF VIOLATION SHALL BE DEEMED A SEPARATE <br />OFFENSE; CONTAININ~ A REPEALING AND A SAVING CLAUSE; AND <br />PROVIDING THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, <br />TEXAS, THAT: <br /> <br />---.... <br />,.;'( <br /> <br />-..;::::::: - . <br /> <br />Section 1. Definitions. <br /> <br />'.. ..." <br /> <br />MOBILE HOME. "Mobile home" means any vehicle designed and <br /> <br />constructed to travel on the public thoro~ghfares and to provide <br /> <br />dwelling or sleeping places for one or more persons. The term <br /> <br />"mobile home" shall not include "campers." A "camper" is defined <br /> <br />as any enclosed structure intended for human habitation mounted <br /> <br />on any manufactured pickup truck or flat-bed vehicle. Nothing <br /> <br />contained in this Ordinance shall be construed to prohibit <br /> <br />parking or storing a "camper" or a "mobile home" on any tract or <br /> <br />,....--.,.." <br />-'~ " <br />, , <br />,,,. <br />:::;../' <br /> <br />parcel of land within the City of La Porte, so long as the same <br /> <br />is parked or stored on such property in conformity with the <br /> <br />requirements of the City of La Porte Zoning Ordinance, and, <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />provided further, so long as the same is not used on such property <br /> <br />for human habitation. <br /> <br />MOBILE HOME PARK. "Mobile Home Park" means any area, <br /> <br />lot or tract of land upon which two (2) or more mobile homes, <br /> <br />occupied for dwelling or sleeping purposes, are located. Such <br /> <br />term shall be deemed to include "mobile home parks" existing <br /> <br />and in operat{on in the corporate limits of the City of <br /> <br />La Porte on t4e effective date of this Ordinance, or which may <br /> <br />hereafter be created.under the terms of this Ordinance.
