The meeting was called to order by Mayor Malone at 6:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Members of city Council Present: Mayor Norman Malone, <br />Councilpersons Guy Sutherland, Mike Cooper, Bob Thrower, Bob <br />McLaughlin, Deotis Gay, Jack Maxwell, Jerry Clarke <br /> <br />Members of city Council Absent: <br /> <br />Councilperson Al ton Porter <br /> <br />Members of City Staff Present: City Manager Bob Herrera, <br />City Attorney Knox ASkins, City Secretary Sue Lenes, Assistant <br />City Manager John Joerns, Director of Finance Jeff Litchfield, <br />Planning Director Chuck Harrington, Police Chief Bobby Powell, <br />Director of Administrative Services Louis Rigby, Fire Chief <br />Joe Sease, City Engineer Fred Thompson, Director of Public <br />Works Steve Gillett, Buyer Susan Kelley, EMS Chief Chris <br />Osten, Paramedic Supervisor Ray Nolen, Records Management <br />Administrator Cathy DeArmond, Planning Department Secretary <br />Peggy Lee. <br /> <br />Others Present: Steve, Stephanie and Lacey Lee, husband <br />and children of Peggy Lee, and Lou Lawler representing the <br />Seafarers Center <br /> <br />2. The invocation was given by Councilperson Jack Maxwell <br /> <br />3. Council considered approving minutes of the regular meeting <br />May 10, 1993. <br /> <br />Motion was made bv CouncilDerson Sutherland to approve the May <br />10 minutes as presented. Second by Councilperson McLaughlin. <br />The motion carried, 6 ayes and 0 nays and 2 abstaining. <br /> <br />Ayes: councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, <br />McLaughlin, Maxwell, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: Councilpersons Gay and Clarke <br /> <br />4. Proclamations: <br /> <br />PBX/Telecommunicator Week Proclamation was presented to Nancy <br />Kelley, President of the Pasadena-Bay Area <br />PBX/Telecommunicator Club. <br /> <br />Emergency Medical Services Week Proclamation was presented to <br />EMS Chief Chris Osten and Paramedic Supervisor Ray Nolen. <br />
