• • <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES OF OCTOBER 16.1997 <br />Members Present: Chairperson Betty Waters, Commission Members Michael <br />Jetty, Dottie Kaminski, Melton Wolters, Sandie Staniszewski, <br />Jim Zoller, Hal Lawler <br />Members Absent: <br />City Staff Present: Director of Planning Guy Rankin, Assistant City Attorney <br />John Armstrong, Planning Secretary Peggy Lee <br />I. CALL TO ORDER PUBLIC HEARING AND REGULAR MEETING. <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Waters at 6:00 PM. <br />II. ADMINISTER OATH OF OFFICE TO NEWLY APPOINTED MEMBER, <br />MICHAEL JETTY. <br />John Armstrong administered the Oath of Office to Michael Jetty. <br />III. APPROVE MINUTES OF THE SEPTEMBER 11, 1997 SPECIAL <br />CALLED MEETING. <br />A motion was made by Jim Zoller to approve the minutes. The motion <br />was seconded by Sandie Staniszewski. All were in favor and the motion <br />passed. <br />IV. OPEN PUBLIC HEARING <br />Chairperson Waters opened the Public Hearing at 6:03 PM. <br />A. DISCUSS REPEAT OF BLOCK 29; LOTS 13-16; TOWN OF LA <br />PORTE, WHICH IS ALSO KNOWN AS 225 AND 229 SO. 8T" <br />STREET AND 816 WEST B STREET. THE REPEAT HAS BEEN <br />REQUESTED TO ESTABLISH TWO SEPARATE LOTS FOR THE <br />DEVELOPED PROPERTY. <br />Guy Rankin presented staff s report. The applicant, Patricia Maner, <br />requested a replat of the property to establish two separate lots of <br />developed property. On the back half of the property is a single <br />family residence that is considered apre-existing, non-conforming <br />use in a General Commercial zone. On the front half of the <br />property, two garage apartments are being built. <br />
