PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES OF MARCH 19, 1998 <br />Members Present: Chairperson Betty Waters, Commission Members Melton <br />Wolters, Sandie Staniszewski, Jim Zoller, Hal Lawler, <br />Michael Jetty <br />Members Absent: Dottie Kaminski <br />City Staff Present: Director of Planning Guy Rankin, Assistant City Attorney <br />John Armstrong, Planning Secretary Peggy Lee <br />I. CALL TO ORDER. <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Waters at 6:05 PM. <br />II. APPROVE MINUTES OF THE FEBRUARY 19, 1998 REGULAR <br />MEETING AND PUBLIC HEARING. <br />A motion was made by Melton Wolters to approve the minutes. The <br />motion was seconded by Sandie Staniszewski. All were in favor and the <br />motion passed. <br />III. CONSIDER APPROVAL OF THE PRELIMINARY PLAT FOR SPENCER <br />LANDING SUBDIVISION, SECTION 11. <br />Mr. Rankin stated that Spencer Landing Subdivision is located in the <br />11,400-11,500 Block of Spencer Highway. Section I has been completed <br />and accepted by the City. Section II is the final phase of this subdivision. <br />Staff reviewed the Preliminary Plat and found it to be in order. Approval of <br />the Preliminary Plat was recommended by staff. <br />A motion was made by Sandie Staniszewski to approve the Preliminary <br />Plat for Spencer Landing, Section II. The motion was seconded by Jim <br />Zoller. All were in favor and the motion passed. <br />IV. OPEN PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Chairperson Waters opened the Public Hearings at 6:10 PM. <br />A. DISCUSS REPLAT FOR A PART OF LOT 10, BLOCK 2, W.J. <br />PAYNE SUBDIVISION WHICH IS ALSO KNOWN AS 2627 <br />UNDERWOOD ROAD. THE REPLAT HAS BEEN REQUESTED <br />TO ESTABLISH THE DEVELOPED PROPERTY AS BLOCK 1, <br />GRY SUBDIVISION. <br />Mr. Rankin stated that the property in question is located on <br />Underwood Road just north of Gringo's Restaurant.
