<br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />/S ,2,0 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE <br />GOLF COURSE ADVISORY BOARD; MAKING APPOINTM~NTS TO THE BOARD AND SETT- <br />ING TERMS; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING <br />FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of La Porte has heretofore, <br /> <br />on September 4, 1986, established a Golf Course Advisory Board, and <br /> <br />appointed members to serve on the Board. By this Ordinapce, the City <br /> <br />Council of the City of La Porte hereby establishes the po~ers and duties <br />of the Golf Course Advisory Board. <br /> <br />Section 2. The Board shall consist of nine (9) positions, serving <br /> <br />staggered three-year terms, with the initial appointees serving the <br /> <br />following terms, and until their successors shall have been appointed <br /> <br />and shall have qualified; thereafter, all appointees to serve three- <br /> <br />year terms, to-wit: <br /> <br />position 1, Term expires September 30, 1987: <br />position 2, Term expires September 30, 1987: John S. Kiibler, Jr. <br />position 3, Term expires September 30, 1987: Dennis Dunham <br />position 4, Term expires September 30, 1988: Jack A. Humphrey <br />position 5, Term expires September 30, 1988: Mose C. Davis <br />position 6, Term expires September 30, 1988: Lloyd L. Roper <br />position 7, Term expires September 30, 1989: Richard F. Hays <br />position 8, Term expires September 30, 1989: David L. Brady <br />position 9, Term expires September 30, 1989: Dr. Ruede M. Wheeler <br /> <br />Section 3. It is the intent and purpose of City Council that the <br /> <br />Golf Course Advisory Board advise City Council from time to time, on <br /> <br />matters relating to the most desirable and efficient design, construct- <br /> <br />ion, and ultimate operation of the planned City of La Porte Municipal <br /> <br />Golf Course. To this end, it is the desire of City Council that the <br /> <br />members of the Board establish communication liaison with responsible <br /> <br />members of the City Administrative Staff, and City outside Advisors <br />and Consultants, on the design, construction and operation of the City <br />
