Carlos Smith, <br />Commissioners E. A. Thomas, I. J. Kibodeaux, Bobby J. Burgin <br />and H. Gould Crofoot. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION ABSENT: None. <br />OTHER CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: P.V. Werner, City Administrator; <br />Virginia Cline, City Clerk; Knox Askins, City Attorney; <br />Robert Cline, Director of Public Works and H. F. Freeman, <br />Chief of Police. <br />PRESIDING: Mayor Smith. <br />+ + + <br />Invocation was given by Commissioner Kibodeaux. <br />1. Minutes of the regular meeting of April 20, 1970 <br />and the special meeting of April 30, 1970 were <br />approved as presented. <br />+ + + <br />2. Mr. Werner stated the committee appointed to <br />study the hospitalization insurance for employees <br />had met with Mr. Stephens, the city's insurance <br />carrier. After making a thorough study of the <br />present hospitalization insurance, the committee <br />recommended bids be taken for an overall increase <br />in benefits. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded <br />by Commissioner Crofoot that bids be taken for the <br />insurance. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Thomas, Kibodeaux, Burgin, and <br />Crofoot. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />
