Askins, City Attorney; <br />Officers Present: Lee Woodward, City Secretary <br />The Drainage and Flooding Committee of the City of La Porte met in a regular <br />meeting on February 12, 2024, at the City Hall Council Chambers, 604 West <br />Fairmont Parkway, La Porte, Texas, at 5:00 p.m. <br />1. CALL TO ORDER — Chair Martin called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. <br />2. CITIZEN COMMENT <br />(Generally limited to five minutes per person; in accordance with state law, the time <br />may be reduced if there is a high number of speakers or other considerations.) <br />3. STATUTORY AGENDA <br />a. Presentation, discussion, and possible action to approve the minutes <br />of the City of La Porte Drainage and Flooding Committee Meeting held <br />on January 8, 2024. <br />Member Engelken moved to approve the minutes of the January 8, 2024, <br />Drainage and Flooding Committee minutes; the motion was seconded by <br />Member Williams; the motion was adopted, 3-0. <br />b. 100acre-foot detention pond project <br />Presentation, discussion, and possible action regarding status of 100- <br />acre-foot detention pond project near the Pasadena Convention <br />Center and Brookglen Subdivision, as established in amended <br />Page 4 of 10 <br />
