<br />Meeting wac palled to order by the Mayor, Geo. H. Sharp, with the follow-
<br />ing Alder~en responding to roll Dells C.T~". Agee, F.R. Boyle, J.J. Roark,
<br />Fred R. Ruff.
<br />Minutes of the last regular meeting, of April 11,1938 and special meeting
<br />of April 20,1938 were read and approved.
<br />The oath of o8fice was then administered to Ald. J.J. Roark, by Atty. Jno.
<br />S. Kiibler, due to the fact that Mr Roark wa:; not present when the newly
<br />elected officials were sworn in on April 11,1938.
<br />:idewalks At this time Mr Geo. Counts appeared before the City Council in the inter-
<br />~chool est of sidewalks to serve the new sbhool building now being erected on the
<br />school grounds on Broadway. After space discussion a motion was offered by
<br />Ald. Ruff, second by Boyle, that the matter of sidewalks on the west side
<br />of the School House, betRreen C and D streets, be turned over to the Street
<br />and Alley Coamaitteefor investigation and report to the next Council meeting.
<br />Motion Carried.
<br />Committees The Mayor at this time announced the appointment of committees to serve for
<br />the following fiscal year, as follows:
