P. Janes, in the absence of Mayor H. J. Pfeiffer, with the following mem- <br />3~ers and city officials presort: Commissioner M. D. Burgin, and City Clerk <br />J. E. .Muldoon. <br />Upon motion by Burgin, second by Jones, this meeting was recessed until 10:00 <br />o~clock A. M., September 7, 1951, at which ti me the Mayor could. be present. <br />Recessed at 10:15 A. M. <br />SEPTEMBER 7TH, 1951 <br />10:00 A. M. <br />Carried. <br />Mayor H. J. Pfeiffer called to order t$e meeting which was recessed at 10:15 <br />o' clock A. M., septeuber bth, 1951, with the folla~.ing members and city officials <br />present: Commissioners Nor. P. Bones and M. D. Burgin, Supt. of Public ~Porks <br />~P. A. Arthur, City Attorney Carl C. Patrick, and City Clerk J. E. Muldoon. <br />'r`he Mayan ordered th,e bids opened and read aloud on the constructiaai of addi- <br />tions to the Sewage Plant, as advertised far September 7, 1951. The bids were <br />as follows ; <br />J. M. White & Sons X13,930.15 <br />Pyramid Construction Co. 90 Calendar Days 20,990.00 <br />A. S. Koehler 60 Calendar Days 1J~,775.00 <br />Niles Construction Co., Inc. 120 Calendar Days 17,612.00 <br />Moore & Moore 100 Calendar Days 18,1~7b.15 <br />The Mayor infcaned the bidders the Commission would study the bids and let <br />them know later the successful bidder. <br />Men fron various departa:ents in charge of the Public Works Superintendent, <br />appeared with grievances. The Commission informed thew to toy and work these <br />grievances out w3.th the Superintendent of Public Works. <br />Motion by Burgin, second by Jones,`to designate the following days as city <br />holidays: Christmas Thanksgiving, July 4th, and Labor Davy, city employees to <br />be paid for 8 hours plus auy time they work. <br />Carried. <br />
