Pfeiffer, <br />Commissioners Tom W. Osburn, Russell Shepherd, <br />Lois J. Compton, and W. A. Stabs, Jr. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMM/SS/ON ABSENT: None <br />OTHER CITY OFF/C/ALS PRESENT: City Attorney Knox Haskins <br />City Engineer H. Carlos Smith, and City Clerk <br />Marilyn Kelley. <br />PRESIDING: Mayor Pfeiffer. <br />+ + + <br />1. Minutes of the regular meeting of August 16, 1965 <br />were approved as written with the following <br />amendmenf: <br />/ten- #22 - to add "for services from March 1, 1965 <br />to May 31, 1965." <br />Minutes of the special meeting of September 2, 1965 <br />were approved as written. <br />+ + + <br />2. Mr. Keith C;~nerni~~s of Cummins, Reed and Clements <br />presented the final plans for the Library, Civic <br />Center and Jail buildings. Mr. Reed reported that <br />during a recent visit with the State Library Board <br />he had presented the plans for the Library. He <br />stated that the general comments were to favor of <br />approval of matching State funds. The Commission <br />requested that the plans be ieff for the members <br />to examine. <br />Furfher, Commissioner Stabs made a motion, seconded <br />by Commissioner Osburn that the Jafl building be <br />Let for bids. Bids will be advertised on September 21, <br />and September 28, and will be received at 7:00 P. M., <br />October 4, 1965, at the City Hall. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />
