The minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 7, 1966 were approved <br />as written. <br />The minutes of the Special Meeting of March 14, 1966 were corrected <br />as foiZows: <br />Item #4 - Add Caption: <br />AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE PROTION OF <br />SEVENTH STREET LYING BETWEEN THE AREA BOUNDED BY "J" STREET <br />AND "K" STREET, AND BETWEEN BLOCK EVEVEN HUNDRED TWO (1102) <br />AND BLOCK ELEVEN HUNDRED THREE (1103) IN THE TOWN OF LA PORTF_, <br />HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS. <br />Item #7 - Amended to Read: <br />The City Engineer stated that the low bids for the construction <br />of the Water and Sewer Extensions were as follows: <br />George Construction Company - Total Project 279,340.84 <br />Buddy Warren (Water Line Extensions) 148,873.25 <br />John G. Holland (Sewer Line Extensions) 908,786.75 <br />Coach Construction Company (Lift Station) 13,170.00 <br />Total 270,830.00 <br />ke recommended that although George Consturction Company is higher, <br />that the Commission award them the contract, because of Zess super- <br />vision necessary during the construction. <br />• <br />Commissioner Stabs made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Shepherd <br />that the Water and Sewer contracts be awarded to Buddy Warren, <br />John G.
