Information is shared with staff members serving as liaisons to a committee, <br />board or commission member. <br /> <br />. Mayor and Council will provide the City Secretary with direction on whether <br />application forms and a handbook need to be mailed to any citizens or <br />organizations, Applications will only need to be mailed if recruitment is needed <br />to fill positions, Applications must be returned to the City Secretary by the last <br />day of July 5 in order for copies to be placed in the agenda packet for the July <br />Workshop Meeting to be held the last meeting in July. The citizen submitting the <br />application retains the handbook for future use. <br /> <br />. City Council Members will contact any individuals they want to serve another <br />term, or direct the City Secretary to handle. Confirmation will be made as to <br />whether or not the citizen.is willing to serve another term. If no application is on <br />file, the citizen must be provided with a handbook and application. The <br />application must be returned to the City Secretary's Office by July 5 in order to be <br />placed in the agenda packet for the July Workshop Meeting. <br /> <br />. City Council Members wishing to replace a board member will contact the <br />prospective new member to inquire if they would like to serve, or direct the City <br />Secretary to handle. If the citizen agrees to serve. the City Secretary will send <br />them a handbook and application form. The citizen must return the application <br />form if one is not already on file. In addition. the City Council member will <br />contact the current member to inform them they are considering a replacement for <br />their position and thank them for the time they served, or direct the City Secretary <br />to handle. By July 5. City Council will confirm with the City Secretary, which <br />members they are considering for reappointed for another term. and the name of <br />any new members and the position in which they are being considered for, <br /> <br />. Each June the City Secretary will remind the Mayor of the July Workshop <br />Meeting and confirm the date. <br /> <br />JULY <br /> <br />. City Council holds a workshop meeting in open session to discuss upcoming <br />appointments, <br /> <br />AUGUST <br /> <br />. Mayor will introduce an Ordinance and facilitate the appointment process at the <br />meeting, The City Secretary provides assistance as needed, An Ordinance will <br />be presented to City Council seeking approval to appoint or reappoint members <br />for a term expiring on August 30 of the year indicated, <br />
