. . e . -3- LA PORTE will furnish fire protection to SHOREACRES, and shall also furnish fire protection to the territory formerly comprising the Bayshore Municipal Utility District, and South La Porte, from such Fire Station No.4. Sole discretion will rest with the LA PORTE Fire Chief, or his duly authorized assistants, as to the personnel and equipment that will answer each fire alarm. LA PORTE may complement its fire protection of SHOREACRES from other La Porte fire stations, and LA PORTE may utilize personnel and equipment from Fire Station No.4, to complement its fire protection of other areas of La Porte, and the City of Morgan's Point. V. SHOREACRES shall provide and maintain without charge to LA PORTE, fire hydrants within its city limits, for fire protection services. SHOREACRES shall provide water for the fire engines at Fire Station No.4, and SHOREACRES shall provide SHOREACRES utilities, including water, sewer, and garbage collection, to Fire Station No.4, without charge to LA PORTE. VI. The parties anticipate that the present Shoreacres Volunteer Fire Department, a Texas non-profit corporation, will cease to be operative upon the effective date hereof. Members of the Shoreacres Volunteer Fire Department are encouraged to apply for membership in the La Porte Volunteer Fire Department. VII. SHOREACRES shall promptly enact, and vigorously enforce, an Ordinance making it a misdemeanor for any person to make a "false alarm" to the LA PORTE Fire Dispatcher, for fire protection service. VIII. SHOREACRES shall enact an Ordinance authorizing LA PORTE fire vehicles to use the public streets and alleys of SHOREACRES, and declaring such units, while within SHOREACRES, duly constituted firefighters of SHOREACRES, with all of the rights and privileges appertaining thereto.
