The underground tanks were <br />never removed and are filled with water with possible gasoline residue. <br />The property and surrounding area has been developed in the past primarily for a mixed residential and <br />commercial expansion. <br />3.5 CURRENT USES OF ADJOINING PROPERTIES <br />Adjoining properties are defined by ASTM as any real property or properties the border of which is <br />contiguous or partially contiguous with that of the property, orthat would be contiguous or partially <br />contiguous with that of the property but for a street, road, or other public thoroughfare separating <br />them. <br />To the North —U-turn between San Jacinto and Broadway, diesel repair (Not REC); <br />To the South —Harris County Sherriff Dept & Employment Services(Not REC); <br />To the East- residential (Not REC); <br />To the West— Vacant/residential/commercial(Not REC); (Not REC); <br />3.6 WETLANDS <br />As defined by the USACE Wetlands Delineation Manual Section 404; "Wetlands are those area <br />inundated or saturated by the either the surface or groundwater at a frequency and duration sufficient <br />to support and under normal circumstances do support a prevalence of vegetation typically adapted for <br />fife in saturated soil conditions. Wetlands generally include, but not limited to, swamps, marshes, bogs <br />and similar areas." <br />Geo-Tech did not address any wetland issues as a part of this Phase I & 11 ESA.
