A motion was made by Commissioner Shepherd and seconded <br />by Commissioner Compton that the City Attorney be <br />authorized to check the possibility of the City <br />purchasing the remaining Cots in Block 267. Motion <br />carried. <br />+ + + <br />7. On August 5, 9965 a City Police vehicle was damaged <br />in an accident. The City Attorney recommended that <br />the City have a local dealer repair the vehicle and <br />that a settlement be made after the damages have been <br />satisfactorly repaired. Commissioner Stabs so moved, <br />and it was seconded by Commissioner Compton. Motion <br />carried. <br />+ + + <br />8. Commissioner Stabs made a motion, and seconded by <br />Commissioner Osburn thatthe bids for repairing the <br />vehicle be analyzed and the lowest responsible bid <br />be accepted. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />9. Mr. Frank Boyle appeared before the Commisston to <br />request that something be done to relieve the drainage <br />problem in the 400 Block of 2nd Street. Mr. Boyce <br />was requested to check with the other property owners <br />in the block as to the possibility of instalCing curb <br />and gutter. <br />+ + + <br />90. Commissioner Compton made a motion, seconded by Commts- <br />sioner Stabs that the City adopt a policy ltmittng to <br />75' the amount of pipe per building permit or requesf <br />to be installed by the City. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />99. A motion was made by Commissioner Compton and seconded <br />by Commisstoner Stabs that the City advertise for bids <br />on the demolishing of the M & M Bar Building. Further <br />that the City Engtneer revise the specifications, setting <br />fhe insurance at ,90,000., a time limit of 45 working <br />days, and excluding the performance and payment bonds. <br />Commissioners Compton and Stabs voted "yes", with <br />Commissioners Shepherd and Osburn voting "no". Mayor <br />Pfeiffer voted "yes". Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />
