age ul <br />• Subject: EMERGENCY LEAVE <br />1. In case of sudden and/or serious illness or injury <br />to a member of an employee's household which requires <br />the employee's personal attention and care he may be <br />allowed absence with pay for a period not exceeding <br />three working days. <br /> <br />2. In case of death to a member of an employee's <br />immediate family an employee shall be granted leave <br />with pay occuring in the first three working days <br />immediately following the date of death. <br />3. Emergency leave is .confined to three (3) working days <br />for no more than a total of two (2) times in any one (1) <br />year. <br />4. Immediate family shall be defined as wife, husband, <br />child, brother, sister, parents, grandparents, mother-in- <br />law or father-in-law, or foster parents. <br />5. Death of relatives other than those mentioned above <br />not .included in the immediate family, shall be considered <br />individually and such time allowed as circumstances warrant. <br />6. Department Heads shall be responsible for reporting <br />employee's emergency leaves to the office. <br />7. Any additional time off requested .may be granted by <br />the department head without pay. evidence of death <br />satisfactory to the department head may be left to his <br />discretion. <br />
