Hodge recommended Hyco Equipment Co. as the low bid- der, meeting specifications on the larger of the two tractors. Because the larger tractor bids are below the estimated cost giving a back up tractor to pull the 15 foot winged mower. Motion was made by Councilman Tomerlin to award the bid for two tractors to Hyco Equipment Co. for two Model JD401-B tractors at a cost of $23,368.00. Seconded by Councilman Kibodeaux. The motion carried, 4 ayes and 0 nays. Ayes: Councilman Tomerlin, Councilman Kibodeaux, Councilwoman Cline, Councilman Simons Nays: None Council considered Hodge's recommendation to accept the bid submitted by Jim Ball International for two pull type rotary mowers. Motion was made by Councilman Tomerlin to award the bid to Jim Ball International for two Cyclone 60, pull type rotary mowers at a cost of $2,687.60. ' . Seconded by Counc11man Kibo- deaux. Council considered recommendation by Fire Chief Sease con- cerning overhead doors for Fire Station #3 opened December 10, 1980. Only one bid was received. Sease stated the bid met bid specifications and was within the budgeted amount. Motion was made by Councilman Simons to award the bid for 4 overhead doors for Fire Station #3 to Hodges Overhead Door, Inc., of Highlands, Texas, for $3,400.00. Seconded by Councilwoman Cline. The motion carried, 4 ayes and 0 nays. Ayes: Councilman Tomerlin, Councilman Kibodeaux, Councilwoman Cline, Councilman Simons Nays: None 10. Council considered the recommendation by Fire Chief Sease concerning bids received December 10, 1980, for 1,000 feet of 4" fire hose. The low bid from Texas Firefighters of $4,880.00 did not meet the specifications advertised. Sease recommended the next low bidder, Fire Fox Corporation, be awarded the bid; their bid was within the budgeted amount. Motion was made by Councilman Simons to award the bid for 1,000 feet of 4 inch fire hose to Fire Fox Corporation of South . Houston, Texas, in the amount of $5,300.00. Seconded by Council- man Kibodeaux. The motion carried, 4 ayes and 0 nays. Ayes: Councilman Tomerlin, Councilman Kibodeaux, Councilwoman Cline, Councilman Simons Nays: None
