Council considered Change Order No. 7 on the Lomax paving <br />and drainage improvement project. The change order is for <br />the construction of a storm sewer junction box (actually an <br />extension of the 42" RCP) resulting in a net increase on the <br />project of $1,200.00, bringing the total contract cost to <br />$1,278,785.00. <br />A motion was made by Councilperson Faris to approve change <br />order no. 7 as recommended by Joerns. Council considered Change Order No. 3 - Contract III, Lift <br />Station - EPA Project - Big M Contractors. The change order <br />is for the installation of a 10" gate valve in the discharge <br />side of the new pump installation at Fairmont Parkway at a <br />cost of $1,349.00 in addition to the installation of six (6) <br />air release valves (one for each pump) at both lift stations, <br />at a cost of $3,000.00. The total net cost of change order <br />no. 3 being $4,349.00. Both items are Grant eligible and <br />75~ of the costs will be paid for by EPA upon their approval. <br />A motion was made by Councilperson Simons to approve change <br />order no. 3 - EPA project - Contract III - Lift Station - <br />Big M Contractors, subject to approval by Texas Department of <br />Water Resources and EPA. Council considered Change Order No. 2 - Sewer Construction <br />Project for Service Center - David Wight Contractor. The <br />change order is for shell used as bedding material when wet <br />trench conditions were encountered on the project, requiring <br />41 tons of shell.. The net increase in the project is $541.72. <br />• A motion was made by Councilperson Kibodeaux to approve change <br />order No. 2 -David Wig t Construction.
