Council considered that Jack Owen, City Manager, will complete <br />six months of service with the City of La Porte on July 25, 1982. <br />A motion was made by Councilperson Longley authorizing a <br />$4,000.00 per year increase in salary to take effect August 2, <br />1982. Second by Councilperson Westergren. City Attorney Askins read: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE <br />NO. 1100, AN ORDINANCE REGULATING GAME ROOMS, PROVIDING <br />LICENSING PROCEDURES AND FEES, REGISTERING OF SKILL OR <br />PLEASURE ORIENTED COIN OPERATED MACHINES AND PAYMENT OF OC- <br />CUPATIONAL TAX THEREON, REGULATING HOURS OF OPERATION, PRO- <br />VIDING STANDARDS FOR OPERATION, PROVIDING THAT ANY PERSON <br />VIOLATING THE TERMS OF THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE DEEMED GUILTY <br />OF A MISDEMEANOR AND UPON CONVICTION SHALL BE FINED IN ANY <br />SUM NOT MORE THAN TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200.00); CONTAINING <br />A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; FINDING COMPLIANCE T/~IITH THE OPEN <br />MEETING LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />A motion was made by Councilperson Pfeiffer to approve and <br />adopt Ordinance No. 1100-B as read by the City Attorney. <br />Second by Councilperson Gay. The Council considered the recommendation from Chief Inspector <br />David Paulissen concerning bids received for the demolition <br />of dangerous buildings.
