n <br />u <br />~~ <br />• Minutes, Regular Meeting and Public Hearing <br />La Porte City Council, July 21, 1982, Page 5 <br />Paulissen recommended the bid be awarded to Daniels Truck <br />Hauling. <br />A motion was made by Councilperson Longley to award the bid <br />for the demolition of certain dangerous buildings to Daniels <br />Truck Hauling. Second by Councilperson Westergren. The <br />motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Westergren, Skelton, Gay, Pfeiffer, <br />Graves, Matuszak, Longley, Malone and Mayor Cline <br />Nays: None <br />14. Council considered John Joerns' recommendation that Lockwood, <br />Andrews and Newnam, Inc., be retained by the City of La Porte <br />to evaluate the proposed Southern Pacific Development. <br />A motion was made by Councilperson Westergren to retain the <br />firm of Lockwood, Andrews and Newnam, Inc., to evaluate the <br />rezoning request by Southern Pacific and appropriating <br />X20,000.00 from the General Fund Contingency. Second by <br />Councilperson Skelton. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Westergren, Skelton, Gay, Pfeiffer, <br />Graves, Matuszak, Longley, Malone and Mayor Cline <br />Nays: None <br />15. There were no administrative reports. <br />16. Council Action: <br />Councilperson Skelton requested an executive session on a <br />personnel matter. <br />17. Mayor Cline entertained a motion for executive session. <br />Motion was made by Pfeiffer, second by Malone. The Council <br />adjourned into executive session at 8:23 P.M. Council re- <br />turned to the Council table at 8:37 P.M. <br />18.
