Dick Bell spoke to Council and expressed his appreciation to <br />the City and its employees for the-good job they are doing <br />and the outstanding job that was done during Hurricane Alicia. <br />5. Bill Angel spoke to Council to ask for help in getting sewer <br />lines for his business and other businesses at the corner of <br />Highway 146 and Fairmont Parkway. <br />Mr. Owen recommended to Council that the-firm of Turner Collie <br />& Braden, who are working on the Master Sewer Plan, take a <br />look at this corner and come up with a quick recommendation <br />of a solution to this problem so that work can be done on it <br />as quickly as possible. <br />6. Gus Faris, representing Magna Flo Industries and its employees, <br />spoke to Council to request that a 2-block area of F and G <br />Streets in the 1500 and 1600 blocks be made into hard top streets <br />and that the project be completed by November 15, 1983. Mr. <br />Faris presented a petition to Council signed by more than 200 <br />residents of the City, or those who do business in the City. <br />Staff was directed to look into cdsts and procedures and pre- <br />sent a preliminary report at the September 14, ,workshop meeting. <br />7. Mayor Pro-Tem Westergren called the Public Hearing on Revenue <br />Sharing and the Overall Budget to order. <br />Mr. Owen reviewed the revenue sharing projects. There was no <br />public input. Councilperson Skelton requested that a walkway <br />on:_F.airmont Parkway from Broadway to Sylvan Beach be added to <br />the revenue sharing budget. <br />• <br />Mr. Owen reviewed the overall budget. <br />Councilperson Graves stated he was concerned with taking over <br />a school crossing guard on Underwood when it was not in the <br />
