Council. considered the request of Brookglen Community Improve- <br />ment Association to lease the building located at 8610 Bandridge. <br />Mrs. Ginger Thompson, president of the- BCIA, spoke to Council <br />regarding this request. College View MUD had allowed the BCIA <br />to hold their monthly meetings at their offices at 8610 Band- <br />ridge and to store .their. records there.... Since that area has <br />been annexed, BCIA would like to lease the building and grounds <br />from the City of La Porte for a nominal fee, to hold their <br />BCIA meetings. BCIA would maintain the building and grounds, <br />and have the utilities in the name of the BCIA. <br />• <br />After questions regarding rental fees, insurance, maintenance, <br />etc., motion was made by Councilperson Matuszak to have the <br />City Attorney draw up a lease between BCIA and the City of <br />La Porte for lease of the building located at 8610 Bandridge. <br />Second by Councilperson Gay. The motion carried, 8 ayes and <br />0 nays . <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Longley, Matuszak, Graves, Pfeiffer, Gay, <br />Skelton, Malone and Mayor Pro Tem Westergren <br />Nays: None <br />11. Council considered an ordinance dissolving the College View <br />Municipal. Utility District. <br />City Attorney Askins read.: AN ORDINANCE FINDING THAT-THE TERRI- <br />TORY COMPRISING THE COLLEGE VIEW. MUNICIPAL UTILITY DTS~2ICT <br />HAS BEEN FINALLY ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF LA PORTE;-DISSOLVING <br />THE LEGAL EXISTENCE OF THE COLLEGE VIEW MUNICIPAL UTILITY <br />DISTRICT AT THE CLOSE OF BUSINESS ON MARCH 27, 1984.; FINDING <br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EF- <br />FECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to adopt Ordinance 1400 <br />as read by the City A torney. Second by Councilperson Gay.
