Council considered advertising for bids for a pumper truck for <br />the fire department . <br />Advertising for bids needs to be done at this-time, since <br />delivery of the truck. will take one year. Funds would not be <br />budgeted until FY 1984-85. The expected cost will be $140,000. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Malone to authorize going out <br />for bids for a pumper.. truck. Second by Councilperson Matuszak. <br />The motion carried, 8 ayes and O nays. <br />.Ayes: Councilpersons Longley, Matuszak,. Council considered. awarding a bid for office furnishings for <br />the new fire department offices. <br />Bids were opened on January 30. Low bid was from Wilson's, but <br />since there is a 120 day waiting period for .delivery, staff is <br />recommending that the next low bidder, Finger's Office Furniture, <br />be awarded the bid, with a delivery time of 30 days. <br />• Motion was made'by Councilperson Skelton to accept Staff's recom- <br />mendation and award the bid for fire department office furnishings <br />to Finger's Office Furniture-in the amount of $14,_524,00, less <br />items that are not going to-be purchased. Second by Council- <br />person Malone. The motion carried ayes and O nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Longley, Matuszak, Graves, Pfeiffer, Gay, <br />Skelton, Malone-and Mayor Pro Tem Westergren. <br />Nays: None <br />14. Council considered. awarding a bid for a horizontal boring machine. <br />Af ter questions and discussion, motion was made b~ Councilperson <br />Matuszak to accept Staff's recommendation and award the bid for <br />a horizontal borin machine to Osborne Fabricators, not to exceed <br />the amount of 8,795.00. Second by Councilperson Pfeiffer.
