Carlos <br />not to <br />The motion <br /> <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Matuszak, Pfeiffer, Gay, <br />Skelton and Mayor Cline <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />Council considered a resolution regarding Bay Area Boulevard <br />right of way. <br /> <br />The City Attorney briefed Council on the purpose of the reso- <br />lution and explained that the metes and bounds of the right <br />of way had changed due to the design of the extension of Bay <br />Area Boulevard, to allow for proper drainage. PPG owns the <br />property needed 'and an agreement has been reached with them <br />for the needed land. The purpose of the resolution is to <br />authorize the City of La Porte to re-deed or reconvey the <br />property that was originally deed to it in 1974 back to PPG~~ <br />and PPG in turn would present a new deed to Harris County <br />Flood Control District. Mr. Askins presented a map to Council <br />showing the new revised right of way configuration. <br /> <br />City Attorney Askins read: Resolution 84-14 - A RESOLUTION <br />CONCERNING THE REALIGNMENT OF THE RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR THE EXTEN- <br />SION OF BAY AREA BOULEVARD BETWEEN WEST MAIN STREET (SPENCER <br />HIGHWAY) AND FAIRMONT PARKWAY,. IN THE CITY ,OF LA PORTE. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Matuszak to adopt Resolution <br />84-14 as read by the City Attorney. Second by Councilperson <br />Malone. The motion carried, 6 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Matuszak, Pfeiffer, Gay, <br />Skelton and Mayor Cline <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />Council considered awarding a bid for the Fairmont Park lift <br />station building and cover construction. <br /> <br />Staff recommends the bid be awarded to Del Mar Construction <br />on the basis of low bid. <br /> <br />~ <br />
