Council considered adopting Ordinance 780-FFFF to rezone <br />Block 1, Lots 18 and 19, Spenwick Place, Section I from <br />residential to commercial. <br /> <br />City Attorney Askins read: ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 780 <br />LA PORTE ZONING ORDINANCE BY CHANGING THE CLASSIFICATION OF <br />THAT PARCEL OF LAND DESCRIBED IN THIS REQUEST. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Motion w~ade by CQYnQilperson Pfeiffer to adopt Ordinance <br />~EEEE-~~ag. Council considered reviewing bids and awarding the contract <br />for cleaning, TV inspection and point repairs for portions <br />of sanitary sewer system. <br /> <br />Director of Community Development John Joerns explained that <br />the September 5th bids were opened and read aloud for rebid <br />number 3 for the cleaning, television, point repair for <br />certain facilities in the City. Four (4) bids were received. <br />The low bid was received from Naylor Industries in the amount <br />of $121,211.50. The staff recommendation is to award the bid <br />to the low bidder, Naylor Industries. Mr. Joerns explained <br />that maps were included with the bid showing the locations <br />of the specific lines involved. Mr. Joerns also explained <br />that the majority of the lines were in the Fairmont Parkway <br />vicinity. <br /> <br />~. <br /> <br />Director of Administrative Service Bob Herrera explained that <br />the reason for going out the second time for bids was mostly <br />for legal purposes. The first rebid was protested by <br />contractors and it was okayed by EPA's approval. The matter <br />should be resolved. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />~ <br />
