<br />~ ~ <br />• <br />Minutes, Regular Meeting, La Porte City Council <br />January 7, 1985, Page 3 <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Westergren that the City <br />participate in a 12" water line extension to Fairmont Plaza <br />Shopping Center, in the amount of $~,455.6g. Second by <br />Councilperson Pfeiffer. The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 <br />nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Matuszak, Waters, Pfeiffer, Skelton, <br />Westergren, Malone, Bridges and Mayor Cline <br />Nays: None <br />r: <br />5. Council considered emergency replacement of a 150 hp electric <br />motor at water well 1~4 (Main & Broadway). <br />City Manager Owen explained that this motor had burned, and <br />after inspection of it, it was found that it could be replaced <br />at slightly under the cost of having it repaired. <br />After brief discussion, motion was made by Councilperson <br />Skelton to accept staff recommendation end .~.pprove the <br />emergency replacement of a 150 hp motor for water well ~~4 and <br />transfer $857 from the wate~astewater contin ency fund for <br />this reglac e Second by Councilperson Matuszak. The <br />motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Matuszak, Waters, Pfeiffer, Skelton, <br />Westergren, Malone, Bridges and Mayor Cline <br />Nays: None <br />6. Council considered awarding a bid for chemical, insecticide <br />and janitorial supplies. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Westergren to accept staff <br />recommendation and award the bid for chemical,, insecticide and <br />.janitorial supplies to the low bidders meeting specifications= <br />Morse Wholesales Van Waters end Rogers, Lone Star Brush and <br />Chemical, and Industrial Chemical Cleaner. Second by <br />Councilperson Waters. The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Matuszak, Waters, Pfeiffer, Skelton, <br />Westergren, Malone, Bridges and Mayor Cline <br />Nays: None <br />• <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
