SPECIFICATIONS are intended to provide the <br />complete framework for development of the <br />contract documents. Format and layout of the <br />specifications shall be coordinated prior to <br />submittal and the bid items list shall be <br />developed with the exception of minor items to <br />be added later. Specifications for <br />troublesome or unusual items shall be <br />developed in depth. <br />4. Prefinal Submittal Review <br />This submittal is to be reviewed by the Unit, <br />the City Code Enforcement Division, Community <br />Development, CIP Management Team, and Risk <br />Manager. This submittal shall provide the <br />review of proposed construction and serve as a <br />basis for obtaining concurrence from city, <br />county, state, federal, private utility and an <br />estimate of construction cost. <br />The design shall be complete and checked. <br />Plans must show all details necessary for <br />construction and must be coordinated among the <br />various disciplines prior to submittal. <br />Detailed checking by the designer may proceed <br />during the prefinal review period. <br />During the interval between in-progress and <br />prefinal submittals, the following must be <br />done: <br />- Resolution of all previous comments with <br />solutions incorporated in the plans and <br />specifications. <br />- Concurrence obtained at the technical <br />level with solutions developed for <br />individual conflicts. <br />- Drawings of the plans that must be <br />completely CHECKED, SIGNED, and SEALED. <br />~- The final draft of the DESIGN REPORT must be <br />submitted and the SPECIFICATIONS BOOK must be <br />complete with the exception of "boiler plate" <br />to be added prior to printing. The complete <br />ESTIMATE OF CONSTRUCTION COST must be <br />submitted. <br />24 <br />
