Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to adopt Ordinance 1501-A as read by the City Attornev. Second by Councilperson Gay. After questions from Council were answered, the vote was taken and the motion carried, 7 ayes and 0 nays. Ayes: Councilpersons Lloyd, Matuszak, Porter, Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone Nays: None Motion was made by Counci~erson Porter to adopt Ordinance 15 Q1-A as amended. Second by Councilperson Lloyd. The motion carried, 7 ayes and 0 nays. Ayes: Councilpersons Lloyd, Matuszak, Porter, Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone Nays: None Councilperson Shipp then returned to the Council table. 9. Council considered an ordinance appointing a member to the La Porte Area Water Authority. The City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 155+ - AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING MIKE WADSWORTH AS DIRECTOR, POSITION 3, OF THE LA PORTE AREA WATER AUTHORITY, TO FILL THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF CARY BURNLEY, TO EXPIRE SEPTEMBER 1, 1987; AND APPOINTING MIKE WADSWORTH TO A TWO YEAR TERM AS DIRECTOR, POSITION 3, OF THE LA PORTE AREA WATER AUTHORITY FOR A TERM TO EXPIRE SEPTEMBER 1, 1989; CONTAINING A REPEALING CLAUSE; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. Motion was made ley Councilperson Matuszak to adopt Ordinance 1.554 as read bk the City Attornev. Second by Councilperson Clarke. The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays.
