• <br />Minutes, Public Hearings and Regular Meeting <br />La Porte City Council <br />August 10, 1987, Page 5 <br />In Section 6, the words "General Commercial" were changed to <br />read "Neighborhood Commercial," and "with conditional use for <br />boat storage" added. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to adopt Ordinance <br />1501-A as read by the City Attornev. Second by Councilperson <br />Gay. <br />After questions from Council were answered, the vote was <br />taken and the motion carried, 7 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Lloyd, Matuszak, Porter, Gay, Skelton, <br />Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />Motion was made by Counci~erson Porter to adopt Ordinance <br />15 Q1-A as amended. Second by Councilperson Lloyd. The <br />motion carried, 7 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Lloyd, Matuszak, Porter, Gay, Skelton, <br />Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />Councilperson Shipp then returned to the Council table. <br />9. Council considered an ordinance appointing a member to the La <br />Porte Area Water Authority. <br />The City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 155+ - AN ORDINANCE <br />APPOINTING MIKE WADSWORTH AS DIRECTOR, POSITION 3, OF THE LA <br />PORTE AREA WATER AUTHORITY, TO FILL THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF <br />CARY BURNLEY, TO EXPIRE SEPTEMBER 1, 1987; AND APPOINTING <br />MIKE WADSWORTH TO A TWO YEAR TERM AS DIRECTOR, POSITION 3, OF <br />THE LA PORTE AREA WATER AUTHORITY FOR A TERM TO EXPIRE <br />SEPTEMBER 1, 1989; CONTAINING A REPEALING CLAUSE; FINDING <br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />Motion was made ley Councilperson Matuszak to adopt Ordinance <br />1.554 as read bk the City Attornev. Second by Councilperson <br />Clarke. The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br />
