Council considered an ordinance authorizing Municipal Court to collect special expense fee for services performed on dismissed cases. The City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 1555 - AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MUNICIPAL COURT TO COLLECT A SPECIAL EXPENSE FOR SERVICES PERFORMED ON DISMISSED CASES; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. Motion was made b ~ Councilperson Skelton to adopt Ordinance 1555 as read by the City Attorney. Second by Councilperson Clarke. The motion carried, 7 ayes and 0 nays. (Councilperson Gay was away from the Council table.) Ayes: Councilpersons Lloyd, Matuszak, Porter, Shipp, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone Nays: None 11. Council considered approving the request of New Jerusalem Church for a special conditional use permit to allow Church expansion in a residential zone. Motion was made by Councilperson Shi.Qu to approve the special conditional use permit for New Jerusalem Church. Second by Councilperson Lloyd. The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. Ayes: Councilpersons Lloyd, Matuszak, Porter, Shipp, Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone Nays: None 12. Council considered approving an agreement with the Port of Houston Authority for emergency medical service for 1987-1990. Motion was made by Councilperson Matuszak to approve the agreement with the Port of Houston Authority for emer~ency medical services. Second by Councilperson Gay. The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays.
