Council considered approving a resolution relating to the <br />proposed site location of Houston Chemical Services, Inc. <br /> <br />Councilperson Lloyd made a brief presentation summarizing the <br />findings and the recommendation of the Incinerator Site Study <br />Committee. <br /> <br />Councilperson Porter proposed an amendment to the Resolution <br />No. 87-10 replacing paragraph 6 and Section 2. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Porter to pass Resolution <br />No. 87-10 as amended. Second by Councilperson Lloyd. <br /> <br />Councilperson Lloyd stated the changes made to Resolution No. <br />87-10 more accurately reflect the findings of the committee. <br /> <br />The motion carried 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />Nays: <br /> <br />Councilpersons Waters, Lloyd, Matuszak, Porter, <br />Shipp, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone. <br />None. <br /> <br />12. Council considered a resolution supporting the passage of SJR <br />12. <br /> <br />The City Attorney read: <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />PASSAGE OF SJR 12, <br />EXEMPTIONS. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 87-12 - A RESOLUTION <br />THE CITY OF LA PORTE SUPPORTING THE <br />REGARDING PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skel ton to approve <br />~olution No. 87-12. Second by Councilperson Matuszak. The <br />motion carried 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />Nays: <br /> <br />Councilpersons Waters, Lloyd, Matuszak, Porter, <br />Shipp, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone. <br />None. <br />
