"P" St. - La Porte Outlots 1380,361 <br />Property Zoning "R-1" (Low Density Residential) <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />Mr. Knox's intention is to build a barn on this site and use the <br />property for pasturing horses. The size of this tract is 11.81 <br />acres. Mr. Knox also intends to build a house on this site <br />sometime in 1988. Until such time as the house is built, raising <br />horses will be the primary use of the property. This property is <br />located in an "R-1" zone ari~ is presently undeveloped except for a <br />perimeter fence. It is situated east of the Bayou Glen subdivision <br />on the north side of N. "P" St. in Lomax. <br /> <br />ANALYSIS <br /> <br />This property use is listed in the residential table of the City's <br />zoning ordinance (Section 5-600, Table A, Ordinance #1501' as <br />Agricultural Production (animal specialities) and has a Standard <br />Industrial Classification (S.I.C.) number of 0272. This number is <br />listed as a conditionally permitted use in "R-1" zones. <br /> <br />The listing is specifically described as "Establishments primarily <br />engaged in the production of horses and other equines." This use <br />includes pasturing and breeding of horses. It does not include <br />commercial boarding, on site sale of, or commercial exhibition of <br />animals. <br />
