Council considered a resolution authorizing regular license <br />plates by La Porte Police Department Personnel. <br />The City Attorney read Resolution 88-2, which states that <br />vehicles used by La Porte Police Department are exempt <br />under V. C. S. 6701m-2 when used in the performance of <br />official duties, and requests that the State Department of <br />Highways and Public Transportation issue regular plates <br />upon proper application, and that the City Secretary of the <br />City of La Porte is authorized to sign required forms. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Waters to adopt Resolution_ <br />88-2. Second by Councilperson Lloyd. The motion carried, <br />8 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Lloyd, Matuszak, Porter, <br />Shipp, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />17. Council was to consider approving entering into agreement <br />with Harris County for participation in the Justice <br />Information Management System. <br />The City Manager requested that this item be tabled until <br />the first meeting in February. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Clarke to table item 17 <br />until the first meeting in February. Second by <br />Councilperson Lloyd.
