<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Minutes, Regular Meeting, La Porte city council <br />June 12, 1989, Page 3 <br /> <br />John Albanese, 1 Bay Oaks: Thanked the City for the fine job <br />done with the service plan of the annexed BayMUD area. He <br />supports recommendations of the Planning & Zoning commission <br />on the proposed permanent zoning for the Bay Oaks area. <br /> <br />8. Delayed until after executive session was held. <br /> <br />9. Council considered approving the draft of the official notice <br />of sale and official statement to be used in connection with <br />$4.5 million General Obligation bonds, Series 1989. <br /> <br />The Assistant City Attorney at this time pointed out to the <br />Mayor that item 8 could not be discussed in executive session, <br />as it was not listed as an executive session item. The Mayor <br />then read an addition to the agenda which states that certain <br />other matters pertaining to agenda items listed may be taken <br />to executive session. The Assistant ci ty Attorney then <br />allowed that item 8 was an acceptable item for the executive <br />session under the agenda addition. <br /> <br />Mr. David Fetzer and Mr. Pete Fisher, Moroney & Beissner, <br />commented on the draft of the bond sale notice. A special <br />meeting needs to be called for July 5 in order to complete the <br />sale of the bonds and award them. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Counciloerson Waters to a9orove the draft <br />oaf the official notice of sale and official statement to be <br />used in connection with $4.5 million General Obliqation bonds. <br />Series 1989. Second by Councilperson Clarke. The motion <br />carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Nays: <br /> <br />CouncilpersonsWaters, Cooper, Matuszak, McLaughlin, <br />Shipp, Gay, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />None <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />10. Council considered awarding a bid for plastic garbage bags. <br /> <br />Motion was made bv Councilperson Clarke to award the bid for <br />olastic qarbage baqs to Arrow Industries in the amount of $.54 <br />oer oound. Second by Councilperson Cooper. Council indicated <br />that they preferred a garbage bag handout of two rolls per <br />customer. The motion to award the bid to Arrow Industries <br />carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Nays: <br /> <br />Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, Matuszak, McLaughlin, <br />Shipp, Gay, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />None <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />11.
