Consider awarding bid for annual mowing contract <br /> <br />Motion was made bv Councilperson Waters to adopt the consent <br />agenda. Second by Councilperson Shipp. The motion carried, <br />8 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Nays: <br /> <br />CouncilpersonsWaters, Cooper, Matuszak, MCLaughlin, <br />Shipp, Gay, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />None <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />13. Administrative reports: The City Manager asked that Council <br />take action on reactivating the Fire Code Review Committee, <br />possibly at the next Council meeting. He then asked Joel <br />Albrecht to introduce the new City Engineer. Mr. Albrecht <br />then introduced Steve Wenzel, and gave a brief summary of Mr. <br />Wenzel's background. <br /> <br />14. Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, Matuszak, McLaughlin, Shipp, <br />Gay, Clarke and Mayor Malone brought items to Council's <br />attention. <br /> <br />councilperson McLaughlin asked what the expected completion <br />date on the Sens Road bridge is~ Joel Albrecht replied that <br />it has a scheduled completion date of July 1. <br /> <br />Councilperson Clarke inquired what the hold up is on the <br />widening of Broadway. Mr. Albrecht replied that the <br />relocation of Southwestern Bell Telephone cables is still the <br />hold up, and according to Southwestern Bell they should be <br />completed with the relocation by the end of this month. As <br />soon as the lines are relocated, the other contractors are <br />ready to move in. <br /> <br />15. Council adjourned into executive session to discuss the <br />following: (A) meet with attorney to discuss BayMUD mobile <br />home municipal court cases; (B) meet with attorney(s) <br />regarding Houston Chemical Services, Inc.; (C) continue <br />discuss of appointments to various boards and commissions; and <br />under section 2 (E), discussion of agenda item 8. Council <br />returned to the table at 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Council then considered item 8: Consider ordinance adopting <br />permanent zoning for former BayMUD area. <br />
