0 <br />Ll <br />Minutes, Regular Meeting, La Porte City Council <br />February 12, 1990, Page 3 <br />The City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 1677 - AN ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING ADDITIONAL DRAINAGE AREA TO BE ADDED TO THE HARRIS <br />COUNTY UNDERWOOD ROAD PROJECT EXTENDING FROM PASADENA <br />BOULEVARD TO SPENCER HIGHWAY, APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF <br />$47,359.00 FROM THE GENERAL FUND - CIP, AND AUTHORIZING <br />PAYMENT OF SAID SUM TO HARRIS COUNTY; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH <br />THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson McLaughlin to adopt Ordinance <br />1677 as read by the City Attorney. Second by Councilperson <br />Gay. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, Matuszak, McLaughlin, <br />Porter, Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />11. Council considered a resolution authorizing the City Attorney <br />to represent the City in acquisition of property. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Clarke to adopt Resolution <br />90-1, authorizing the City Attorney to represent the City in <br />acquisition of property. Second by Councilperson McLaughlin. <br />The motion carried, 7 ayes, 0 nays, 2 abstain. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Cooper, Matuszak, McLaughlin, Porter, <br />Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: Councilpersons Waters and Gay <br />12. Council considered approving a letter of agreement between the <br />City of La Porte and Hazelwood Enterprises, amending the <br />current disposal contract to allow State disposal fee pass - <br />through. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to approve the letter <br />of agreement between La Porte and Hazelwood Enterprises. <br />Second by Councilperson Gay. The motion carried, 9 ayes and <br />0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, Matuszak, McLaughlin, <br />Porter, Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />13. Council considered authorizing a public hearing for <br />condemnation of dangerous buildings and setting a public <br />hearing date. <br />Mark Lewis, Inspector, gave a slide presentation on 13 <br />buildings in the City that the Board of Inspections deemed <br />dangerous. <br />
