EMPLOYEE OF THE QUARTER <br />OCTOBER, NOVEMBER, DECEMBER, 1991 <br />Officer Charles Lunsford begin work with the City in <br />October 1990. He displays great concern for the City, the Police <br />Department, the citizens he works for and the employees he works <br />with. He takes pride in his personal appearance, maintains his <br />equipment in good condition, is courteous with the public, and <br />treats citizens with interest and concern. <br />Since Officer Lunsford's employment, he has conducted <br />numerous felony and misdemeanor arrests. He has arrested burglary <br />of residence suspects, auto theft suspects, and numerous suspects <br />wanted by other police agencies from local areas and out-of-state <br />areas for felony and misdemeanor offenses. This has enabled <br />thousands of dollars of property to be recovered and returned to <br />the owners. <br />He has also revived a prisoner who was attempting suicide <br />in his jail cell; investigated auto thefts and arrested the <br />suspect, who was convicted and sent to prison; put his life on the <br />line while investigating a DWI and the person pulled a pistol and <br />pointed the gun at Officer Lunsford; arrested suspicious males <br />committing a burglary; and has conducted numerous misdemeanor <br />arrests for various causes. <br />Officer Lunsford is a professional Police Office, and <br />performs his duties in an excellent manner. He is a credit to the <br />City of La Porte, the Police Department and to the citizens of this <br />community. Therefore, it is with great pride that Officer Charles <br />Lunsford is named Employee of the Quarter for October, November and <br />December, 1991. <br />
