Second by <br />Councilperson Porter. The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, <br />McLaughlin, Porter, Maxwell, Clarke and Mayor <br />Malone <br />Nays: None <br />9. Administrative Reports - John Joerns announced that Fred <br />Thompson will be coming on board on May 26 as City Engineer. <br />John also extended thanks to Larry Mabe, Bobby Powell, Jeff <br />Litchfield and Elaine Bonner for their efforts in putting <br />together the package for the computer awards just approved. <br />At this time, Mayor Malone gave the oath of office to <br />Councilperson Deotis Gay, District 4. <br />10. Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, McLaughlin, <br />Porter, Gay, Maxwell, Clarke and Mayor Malone brought items to <br />Council's attention. <br />11. There was no executive session. <br />12.
