<br />The associated construction estimate in today's dollars is approximately $1.08 million <br />and consists of 10% for contingencies. Add 12% for engineering and surveying and the <br />total estimate reaches $1.21 million. <br /> <br />3.2 Alternative 2A Remove Existing Storm Sewer Trunk Line and Replace with 5-year <br />Capacity Trunk Line <br /> <br />Alternative 2A is the replacement of the existing storm sewer trunk line between the <br />outfall channel and North Sycamore along the current storm sewer alignment. This <br />option is chosen as an alternative for the reduction in costs associated with pavement <br />repair and replacement that should offset the cost of pipe removal, traffic control and <br />extended construction time. The limits of the trunk line replacement are from the outfall <br />to North Sycamore. <br /> <br />This configuration has a design capacity of 225.0 (cfs) for a 5-year event at the outfall <br />and keeps the HGL below Fleetwood Drive throughout the limits of pipe replacement. <br />This is accomplished by the additional cover over the trunk in the border areas and can <br />easily be accomplished in Alternative 1. <br /> <br />The associated construction estimate is approximately $1.36 million and includes 10% <br />for contingencies. Add 12% for engineering and surveying and the total estimate reaches <br />$1.52 million.
