<br />Cheryl Westmoreland - Sycamore St. - Ms. Westmoreland asked for additional time for the <br />Fairmont Homeowner's Association to have time to review the report. <br /> <br />Brian Moore - 511 S. Utah - Mr. Moore noted flooding at Utah and D has only been a problem in <br />the past two years. He noted he thinks the storm sewer may be stopped up and asked the City to <br />check it out. <br /> <br />4. Receive report from Klotz and Associates on Fairmont Park East and Brookglen Drainage Study. <br /> <br />Gary Struzick of Klotz and Associates provided the committee with an overview of the report <br />regarding Fairmont Park East and Brookglen Subdivision Drainage. <br /> <br />Mr. Struzick informed the committee they were recommending Alternative 3 as the best solution for <br />the Fairmont Park East Subdivision. <br /> <br />Mr. Struzick informed the committee that they recommend working with the Harris County Flood <br />Control to determine the best solution for the Brookglen area. Since this ditch does not belong to <br />the City, Harris County Flood Control should absorb the costs. <br /> <br />Committee Member Engelken noted concerns with additional study time and noted he would like <br />these issues to be resolved quickly. He further noted he felt we needed to contact Judge Emmitt <br />and Sylvia Garcia. <br /> <br />5. Administrative Reports <br /> <br />Assistant City Manager John Joerns provided a report on questions that were asked by <br />Committee Member Moser. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Steve Gillett informed the committee that he would be providing the <br />monthly Drainage Report to Council Monday, June 8, 2009. The committee had additional <br />questions for Mr. Gillett. <br /> <br />Chairman Mosteit requested staff bring forward the fill dirt ordinance for review to address <br />the runoff of silt from properties that were filled. Public Works Director Steve Gillett stated <br />this was going to be reviewed with the upcoming Storm Water Ordinance required by the <br />Phase 1/ permit through the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). <br /> <br />John Randolph with Harris County Flood Control District advised the F101-06 project is <br />moving forward. In addition the channels for pipelines from Valleybrook are being looked <br />at for improvements. <br /> <br />Desilting from Valleyview to Lomax School Road will take place in the next two months. <br /> <br />Harris County Flood Control has reviewed the city's Master Drainage Plan and comments <br />were provided to Klotz tonight. <br /> <br />Chairman Mosteit requested the status on drainage on L Street. <br /> <br />Harris County Representative John Saavedra reported on the four items he was asked <br />about at the previous meeting. <br /> <br />Desilting on Fairmont Parkway will begin this week or early next week. <br />
