Class I liquids shall be transferred from <br />underground tanks by meaas of fixed pumps so designed and equipped as to allow <br />control of the flow and to prevent leakage or accidental discharge. Supplemental <br />means shall be provided outside of the dispensing device whereby the source of <br />power may be readily discormected in the event of fire or other accidents. <br />Dispensing devices for flammable or combustible liquids shall be U.L. rated or <br />Factory Muutual approved type. Flammable and combustible liquids shall be dis- <br />pensed by U.L. rated or Factory Mutual approved pumps taking suction through the <br />top of the container. All devices and/or pumps approved for the dispensing of <br />flammable and combustible liquids shall be maintained in a safe and servicable <br />condition, as directed by the Fire Marshal. <br />When devices and/or pumps are found not to be maintained in a safe and <br />servicable condition, the use of said devices and/or pump shall be discontirxued <br />immediately, until proper repairs are completed and the device and/or pump has <br />been reinspected and approved for the use by the Fire Marshal. <br />Flammable and combustible liquids shall not be dispensed by a device that <br />operates through pressure within a storage tank or container unless the tanks or <br />container has been approved as a pressure vessel for the use to which it is <br />subjected. In no case shall air or oxygen pressure be used for dispensing <br />flammable and combustible liquids. This section does not prohibit use premitted <br />by Section 16:36. <br />(b) Supervision. Every service station open to the public shall have an <br />attendant or supervisor on duty whenever the station is open for business. <br />(1) On any retail service station dispenser accessible to the public, <br />the nozzle shall be a listed automatic closing type. <br />(c) Location generally <br />(1) Dispensing devices at automatic service stations shall be located <br />a minimum distance of ten (10) feet from a property line and so <br />located that all parts of a vehicle being serviced will be on private <br />property. <br />(3) <br />
