i PACE 2 <br />(e) Daily inventory records shall be maintain and reconciled on all <br />Class I flammable liquid storage tanks for possible indication of leakage <br />from tanks or piping. Such records shall be made available to the office <br />of the Fire Marshal upon request. <br />(f) It shall be unlawful for any gasoline filling or service station <br />owner, lessee, operator, manager or other person in charge thereof to vacate <br />or discontinue doing a gasoline filling or service station business or any <br />similiar business there at without notice thereof and without having first <br />given the Fire Marshal at least five (5) days written notice thereof and <br />without having all storage tanks in a condition as provided for in Section <br />16.19 and without having such filling or service station building axxi the <br />premises surrounding the same and used in connection therewith cleared of all <br />rags, paper,cans and all other combustible rubbish and/or trash. <br />Motion to approve as presented made by David Paulissen <br />Notion seconded: John Dunham <br />Ayes: 8 <br />Nays: 1 <br />4. NEW BUSINESS- Article 16 - Division 7 - Sec. 16.50 (a-e)presented & approved as: <br />ARTICLE ~'LANMABLE AND COMBUSTIBLE LIQUIDS <br />DIVISION 7 VEHICLES TRANSPORTIlQG FLBLE AND/OR COMBUSTIBLE PRODUCTS <br />5~:c:. 1b.~U Lea ana/or ar vetucles trans ort rlarm~able ana/or <br />c usti e r is on streets, i a s, etc. <br />a No person s eave a v is e transporting flammable and/or <br />combustible products unattended on any street, highway, avenue, or alley, except <br />that this shall not prevent: <br />(1) ZY~.e necessary absence of the driver in coYmection with loading <br />or unloading of the vehicle, and except during actual discharge of <br />the fuel, the provisions of Section 16.46 shall apply. <br />(2) Stops for meals during the day or night, if the street is <br />well lighted at the point of parking. <br />(3) When, in case of accident or other emergency, the operator <br />must leave to obtain assistance. <br />(b) At no time shall a vehicle transporting flammable and/or combustible <br />products be allowed to park in a predominately residential area or within two <br />thousand (2,000) feet of a school campus, except in case of emergency, at <br />which time the Fire Marshal shall be notified. <br />(c) At no time shall an unattached tank trailer, (empty or loaded) or other <br />types of trailer loaded wish flammable and/or combustible products be allowed <br />to park inside the city limits of La Porte except: <br />(1) Inside a bulk plant and twenty-five (25) feet from the property <br />line or within a building approved for such use. <br />(2) At other locations approved by the Fire Marshal but not less than <br />fifty (50) feet from any building except those approved for the storage <br />or servicing of such vehicle. <br />(3) When, in case of breakdown or other emergency, the operator must <br />leave the trailer to take necessary action to correct the emergency, <br />at which time the Fire Marshal shall be notified. <br />(d) No person shall park a vehicle transporting flammable or combustible <br />products at any one point for longer than one hour except: <br />(1) Off of a street, highway, avenue, or alley at an approved location. <br />(2) Inside a bulk plant and twenty-five (25) feet from the property <br />line or within a building approved for such use. <br />(3) At other approved locations not less than fifty (50) feet from <br />any building, except those approved for the storage or servicing of <br />such vehicle <br />(4) When, in case of breakdown or other emergency, the operator must <br />leave the vehicle to take necessary action to correct the emexgency. <br />
