GOLF COURSE ADVISORY
MINUTES OF 7-14-88
PAGE 2

BOARD MEETING
Next Joel went over the Schedule of Events for the golf
course. He said by doing this item by item the Board
could understand where the course was related to
completion. (See attached schedule with dates).
CULVERTS
To be set on Wharton-Weems Road on July 22, 1988
FENCING
Dr. Wheeler stated that he did not care for chain link
fencing at all (his own personal opinion) and thought it
was ugly. He asked what would be wrong with putting a
good quality wire fence up, something that would keep
any vehicles out. Dr. Wheeler said you could plant some
type of shrubs along the fence and this type of fencing
would be a lot less expensive and look much nicer.
Dennis Dunham asked who had recommended the 6'
galvanized chain link fence? Alex said he had
recommended the 6' chain link fence, he said he felt a
4' fence was not high enough to serve the purpose.
Dr. Tolles said that he disagreed with Dr. Wheeler on
• the type of fencing that could be used. He said he
felt that chain link fence would look good (his personal
opinion). D:~. Tolles said he felt like this golf course
could have more vandalism than some others and the chain
link fence would be more deterrent than a wire fence.
David said his only comment on the fencing was that
regardless what type of fence we used, that over by the
baseball fields at LCB Park, there should be barbed wire
on top.
Dennis Dunham asked Joel if the Board would get some
feedback on the 6' chain link fence before City Council
approved it. Joel assured him that they would.
PLATTING OF GOLF COURSE
Schedule for July 22 by H. Carlos Smith
gFnwoOD SI NS
David asked if they could meet together and have the
drawings for the sign placement and the purchasers who
wanted to attend could. Doing it this way no one could
complain as to why their sign was at No. 13 instead of
No. 14 and so forth. The drawing will be done at the
August meeting. Signs will arrived around the 20th of
• July. Signs for the Pro Shop will arrived around the
30th of July.
