CONSIDER RECOMMENDATION TO CITY COUNCIL REGARDING REZONE <br />REQUEST #R04-003 FOR t.5 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 1600 BLOCK OF <br />UNDERWOOD ROAD AT NORTH "L" STREET, FURTHER DESCRIBED AS TRACT <br />OUT OF LOT 411, LA PORTE OUTLOTS, ABSTRACT NO.5, ENOCH BRINSON <br />SURVEY, LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS. THE APPLICANT, FOUR BEES <br />JOINT VENTURE, SEEKS TO REZONE THE PROPERTY FROM GENERAL <br />COMMERCIAL (GC) TO LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL (R-1) FOR SINGLE-FAMILY <br />DEVELOPMENT TO BE KNOWN AS GREEN CREST SUBDIVISION. <br /> <br />Brief discussion regarding detention pond remaining in General Commercial, and <br />estimated selling price for the homes. <br /> <br />Motion by Hal Lawler to recommend to City Council, approval of Rezone Request #R04- <br />003 for 1.5 acres of land located in the 1600 block of Underwood Road at North ilL" <br />Street. Second by Nick Barrera. OPEN PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER SPECIAL CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />REQUEST #SCU04-004 FOR 4.00 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED AT 2619 <br />UNDERWOOD ROAD, FURTHER DESCRIBED AS TRACT OUT OF LOT 10, BLOCK <br />2 OF THE W.J. PAYNE SUBDIVISION, LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS. THE <br />APPLICANTS, LLOYD & LINDA DUNCAN, SEEK A SPECIAL CONDITIONAL USE <br />PERMIT FOR DEVELOPING A "MINI-STORAGE AND WAREHOUSING FACILITY IN A <br />GENERAL COMMERCIAL (GC) ZONE. <br /> <br />Chaiperson Waters opened the public hearing at 6:29 P.M. <br /> <br />A. STAFF PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Planning Coordinator Masood Malik presented staff's report. The applicant has <br />requested a special conditional use permit for mini~storage and warehousing on <br />a four-acre tract at 2619 Underwood Road. <br />
